Reference Library
Tecumseh Area Historical Society has many newspaper clippings, historical genealogy records, yearbooks and some Tecumseh city directories in our Reference Library. There’s postcards and various subjects along with our atlases to help you out.
Are you researching your roots? Do you have someone you’re looking for? Need an obituary for that genealogy project? Missing a yearbook and want to go over it again?
Was there an article in The Tecumseh Herald from long ago you’d like to find? TAHS has a selection of Heralds from the 1930’s and 40’s.
We’ve got lots of information that you can look through at the museum in our Reference Library.

House history is an interesting subject for many in our area. Our book Beyond the Boulevard is a great source for homes in Tecumseh that have already been researched (check out our Gift Shop if you are interested in a copy). Check out information on local government websites for property details, and delve into your county Register of Deeds and Court Records to see what is there. Also look at maps and atlases, the Sanborn Fire Maps, and sometimes postcards!
Download our research policy for more information on pricing and procedures and use our contact page to let us know what you’d like to find out.
