“Tecumseh and His Campaign to Create a National-State for Native Americans”
will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Tecumseh District Library.
Jamie Oxendine will take an in-depth look at Chief Tecumseh, his campaign, and the many roles Native Americans held in the War of 1812.
Mr. Oxendine is the Director of the Black Swamp InterTribal Foundation in Perrysburg, Ohio, and is a native American speaker, writer, teacher, storyteller, and professional musician/educator and Civil rights activist. he is of Lumbee/Creek ancestry and a member of The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina.
